Stirling engine (Wikimedia Commons / CC BY-SA 4.0)
An introduction to statics, thermodynamics and scientific method, applied to technical and industrial problems such as energy conversion and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students compare Otto, Diesel and Stirling engines through pV-diagrams, build and measure a Stirling engine in a four-hour lab, and meet mechanical manufacturing methods in the Design Build Lab.
